Our lavender buds are harvested right here at Sentinel Family Farm from our Grosso lavender plants, known for their rich aroma and versatility. Grown without chemicals, harvested by hand, and carefully dried, these buds capture the calming scent and natural beauty of summer in the Willamette Valley.

These lavender buds are incredibly versatile and can be used for both home and culinary applications. From sachets tucked into drawers to potpourri, handmade soaps, soothing aromatherapy, or a calm bath, lavender brings a clean, comforting fragrance wherever it’s used. These lavender buds can also be enjoyed in the kitchen and are perfect for teas, baking, and making herbal blends. Sentinel Family Farm Favorite:

One of our personal favorite uses for our lavender buds is to make a lavender simple syrup, perfect for adding a floral note to sparkling water, lemonade, or coffee.

Lavender Simple Syrup Recipe:

• 1 cup Water
• 1 cup Sugar
• 2 TBSP Lavender Buds

1. Combine ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat. I like to put my lavender buds in a tea ball infuser or wrapped in cheese cloth, but its totally okay if you add them straight into the pot
2. Stir occasionally until sugar fully dissolves.
3. Turn off heat and cover.
4. Let steep for 5-10 minutes until your desired level of lavender flavor is reached.
5. Strain out lavender buds using a fine mesh sieve, if needed.
6. Store in an airtight container.
7. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for future use.

Please note that this syrup won't naturally be a purple color. If you would like to add a little color for presentation, you can add a few blueberries to your pot.
